The leftist (NIMBY Crowd) in this country is all about letting everyone come into our country illegally. They just don’t want it in their backyard. The illegal immigration crisis would be laughable if it weren’t so serious. The border states have been overrun and they have long ago passed the breaking point.
Governors Abbott and DeSantis have decided they had to find a way to lessen the burden on their own states. They took the liberal leftists at their word that they are sanctuary cities. They sent some of the immigrants to cosmopolitan liberal enclaves like Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Martha’s Vineyard.
These leftists have been lecturing everyone about how evil it is to turn people away. They argue that our borders should be open, and all should be welcome. There are states and cities that have proclaimed themselves “sanctuary communities.” They claim they are welcoming and that turning people away is “inhumane.” So, they should welcome these immigrants, right? No way. That responsibility falls to the rest of the people.
The hypocrites continued to talk until they were asked to walk the walk. When the Governors started sending these folks to the sanctuary states and cities, the welcome mat was not rolled out.
When Governor DeSantis sent a plane load of 50 immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard, all Hell broke loose. Martha’s Vineyard is one of the wealthiest places in the country. It is only for the rich and famous. Within 24 hours, the immigrants were shipped out. Not so welcome in this sanctuary welcoming city.
The border states must deal with thousands of immigrants every day. But fifty people was way more than they can handle. Is it too much to ask these sanctuary locations to put actions to their hollow words?
The mayor of New York is begging for help from the federal government. He is pleading for $500 million dollars to help New York deal with this crisis.
The Biden administration has created the worst border crisis in history. Since Biden became President, nearly 5 million illegal aliens have wandered over the border. Biden’s policies are creating a national security crisis and threatening the safety of all Americans.
In Biden’s first 100 days in office, he took 94 executive actions on immigration. These actions did not benefit our country. Let’s look at just a few.
He stopped construction of the border wall. Deportations were halted. The policy was terminated to “Remain in Mexico” until processing was complete. Imagine 91 other such actions.
President Biden has eliminated almost every tool America has that enables us to secure the southern border. His latest budget proposed cutting funding for border security.
It is beyond belief when the White House press secretary, Homeland Security Secretary, and VP Harris claim that the border is secure. They say this with a straight face while we watch the open border with thousands of illegals crossing each day. Wonder what an unsecured border would look like in their world?
Americans are dying because of failed immigration policies allowing drugs to flow into our country. More than 100,000 overdose deaths are recorded every year and that number will continue to increase as more drugs are coming in.
Children are coming in by the thousands with no parent or guardian. The federal government has lost 20,000 of them and we have no idea where they are. I fear that many of these children are being used in human trafficking and that breaks my heart.
In 2022, Department of Homeland Security agents will have arrested more than 8,000 foreign nationals who had been convicted of crimes. Many more entered without detection. Because of the Biden policies, 70% of border agents have been diverted to desk jobs. This includes processing entries, social service work and facilitating immigrant travel to inner states.
Not only do these policies put Americans at risk, but the death toll also continues to rise for immigrants. Fifty-three immigrants suffocated in a truck trailer from heat. Recently, a horrendous story was reported. A 12-year-old girl escaped from a mobile home where she had been “tied to a bed post for a week…. Assaulted and drugged.” Police found the bodies of the child’s mother and brother in the trailer. An illegal alien was arrested and charged with first degree kidnapping, three counts of capital murder, and two counts of abuse of a corpse. The victims were also illegally in the country. The mother and children have been here since 2017, pending a decision on their asylum application.
The stories go on and on. There is very little news coverage of these horrendous crimes. Our media is too busy covering up for the atrocities that are happening because of the Biden policies.
Perhaps the shipment of immigrants to the northern sanctuary cities is a stroke of genius by Governors Abbott and DeSantis. When the southern border moved north, it was suddenly newsworthy to those who have been ignoring it as border states faced the crisis.
