The North Carolina Senate passed 2 important bills this past week. A Bill to require sheriffs in our state to cooperate with ICE. Any person or agency may file a complaint with the NC Attorney General if this order is violated. The Senate also passed a bill to fund the wait list for Opportunity Scholarships. The Governor did an across the state tour talking about how bad it is that parents can choose an alternative school for their children and receive scholarships. Parents went running to take advantage of the scholarships. Thank you, Governor, for “spreading the word.”
Kudos to Chancellor Roberts, security, and the brave fraternity brothers at UNC Chapel Hill. Showing the country how to keep the campus safe, has spread throughout the country. These guys showed what it takes to stand up to a mob and protect your school and students.
President Biden has made changes to Title IX which was initiated to protect women in sports. With the new changes, transgender athletes (males) will be allowed to compete against women. Lawsuits are pending, of course. Some states have indicated, Texas for one, have said they will not comply with the new rule.
Three white teachers have won a lawsuit against the NYC Ed Department. The teachers were awarded $2.1 million due to an initiative that aimed to address “toxic Whiteness.”
In President Biden’s proposed 2025 budget, he is proposing to raise capital gains taxes from 20% to 44.6%. This will stifle future investment in a big way. Who is willing to take a risk on investment if the Government (your forced partner) is taking nearly half of it?
President Biden is flying migrants into cities across the country. It’s called his “parole program.” As of February 2024, 400,000 migrants have entered the country through the program. Eighty percent of them arrived in Florida. According to Homeland Security there are 1.6 million migrants awaiting transfer through the program. Biden also issued a memo to Homeland Security virtually ending all deportations.
A 9-year-old girl was gang raped in the bathroom at her school in Portland, Oregon. Prior to the assault, the girl was groped in the classroom with an educator in the room. The family has filed a $9 mil lawsuit. Another child (7 years old) was reportedly raped in the same district. This case involved a $5 mil lawsuit. At this rate, perhaps the school will be bankrupt.
The sanctuary city of Denver has taken funding from police and fire departments to fund almost $90 mil for illegal immigrants flooding their streets. Liberal cities are still trying to “defund police”. Let’s see how that works out for them.
A U.S. Supreme Court decision was unanimous in protecting property rights. The court ruled that a county in California violated a landowner’s rights when requiring large development fees. Perhaps this might be the beginning of reigning in local governments who are milking developers.
The Department of Justice sued Utah for discrimination after an inmate removed his own testicles. The prisoner had been demanding access to hormones, female housing, women’s underwear, and make up for the past two years. The DOJ’s involvement is an indication that the federal government recognizes gender dysphoria as a serious medical condition requiring treatment, which may include surgery.
Climatologists, in the quest to confirm global warming, have been using nonexistent stations for temperature monitoring. Lt. Col. John Shewchuk, a certified consulting meteorologist, said, “They are physically gone – but still report data – like magic.” He further stated, “The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) fabricates data for more than 30% of the 1,218 reporting stations that no longer exist.” Is there any wonder folks don’t trust the information they put forward? These are the same folks that scared us to death about the “ice age” years ago. We didn’t freeze yet and now they are trying to convince us we’re going to burn up. Why can’t they be honest?
