Legislature’s economic, budget policies created a boom decade in North Carolina

Raleigh, N.C. – The influential N.C. Free Enterprise Foundation (NCFREE) gave Sen. Krawiec top marks in its annual Legislative Business Rankings.

The rankings reflect Sen. Krawiec’s commitment to free enterprise and an open economy. The legislature’s budget and tax policies created a boom decade in North Carolina, leading to soaring job growth and making the state one of the most desirable in the country.

Sen. Krawiec said, “As a business owner, I understand how important it is for government to get out of the way. I will always support the right to economic self-determination.”

For the last decade, Republicans have managed to cut income taxes, dramatically raise education investments, lead the nation in teacher pay raises, create multi-billion dollar budget surpluses, and sock away money in preparation for the pandemic-created recession we’re currently experiencing.
