I have a full set of 1970s World Book Encyclopedias. Of course, nobody uses them anymore. I also have old dictionaries. I certainly don’t want to get rid of them. Otherwise, I may never be able to find the truth about history or what the original definitions of words were. We should probably preserve them in a museum for the sake of the future.
Remember recently when the Biden nominee to the Supreme Court couldn’t give the definition for “woman.” She stated that she couldn’t answer since she wasn’t a biologist.
My old Merriam Webster dictionary defines woman as “an adult female person.” Newer on line dictionaries have changed the definition and woman has become something different than the original creation by our maker. Cambridge on line dictionary defines woman as “an adult who lives and identifies as female though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth.” Until recently, women were positively defined by their ability to produce eggs and bear children.
Original feminists fought for women’s rights through generations. These battles helped women earn the freedom from being considered property of their husbands. Under the “Married Women’s Property Act” of 1870, women were allowed to own property. For a century, women fought for the right to vote through the “women’s suffrage movement.” Finally winning the right to vote in 1920, more than fifty years after black men were allowed to cast votes.
We fought for many years for women to have a voice and a seat at the table. We fought for equal opportunities and equal pay in the workplace. We fought for women to be able to compete in sports by demanding that educational institutions offer women sporting competitions.
Now many of the new feminists have joined with the oppressors and are fighting for men to be allowed to play in women’s sports. The very reason that Title IX was created was to give women a chance to compete against each other because they were not able to compete against men in most sports.
Everything is turned upside down. I know you heard about the swimmer in Pennsylvania who was a biological male but self-identified as a woman. He swam on the men’s team 2017-2020 and then moved to the girls’ team for 2021-2022 season. After finishing 554th nationally in the 200 yard freestyle on the men’s team, he crushed the women, of course. He’s 6’4” with massive shoulders and a huge body structure. I don’t care how much estrogen he’s taking, that is not a fair race.
Closer to home here in North Carolina, a high school transgender volleyball player hit a spike at an opposing female that has caused serious long-term head and neck injuries and a severe concussion. She was still in recovery at last report. This is not just unfair, it’s unsafe.
The massive influx of gender dysphoria and gender transitioning is affecting girls. I saw a report where nearly 80% of the new transitioners are girls. What’s that about?
Some time back I told you about growing up with four brothers and being what most, back then, called a “tomboy.” As many young people do, I guess I was searching to find my identity. But I had no doubt that I was a girl. My parents weren’t concerned about my gender or sex. It was what it was. No teacher or any other adult at school ever thought of asking me what gender I felt like I was. Now today I would be classified as transgender and rushed into hormone treatments and surgery. This would be necessary for my body to be aligned with what my mind thought it was. Hogwash.
I’ve even noticed that government materials being published and websites for government agencies now refer to “birthing person” or “birthing people.”
Funny how we were asked to follow “the science”, no matter how stupid we thought “Little Lord Fauci” was. Now we are asked to believe that science doesn’t matter when it comes to what a woman is.
We must start the long fight all over again to protect our next generation of women. Otherwise, they may become extinct. And if you follow the science, you know that will be the end of civilization. No matter what you are told only women can be “birthing people.”
